Indiana REALTORS® Keep Consumers Informed

By HOM Editorial Team
July 2015

The Indiana Association of REALTORS®knows it’s not enough to help people buy and sell homes. The Association provides buyers and sellers with the tools necessary to make the most of every real estate transaction.

One of the most useful tools to help consumers is the Association’s Indiana Real Estate Markets Report. The report compiles information gleaned from a powerful data-collection tool that REALTORS® and the public can use to make decisions about buying and selling homes.

In an April press release, the Association’s 2015 President Bruce Bright predicted good news based on the data: “Low inventory means buyers should get ready to move fast if they find the right home,” Bright said. “Get your financing plan in place now, before you begin a serious search, though the uptick in listings may indicate that potential sellers are getting ready to meet buyer demand. Either way, pending sales tell us that housing will likely make for more good news next month.”

Bright’s prediction was in response to the Association’s predictions for March 2015.

“We said . . . that if pending sales are an indicator, the spring and summer buying season may get an early start in March,” Bright said. “And it certainly did, ending the first quarter with impressive numbers compared to last year.”

Good information is essential to making the best decision on buying or selling a home. Thanks to the Indiana Association of REALTORS®, the markets report makes sure that Indiana homebuyers and sellers have the information they need at their fingertips to make buying and selling decisions.
