Greater Manchester REALTORS® Reward Community Service

By HOM Editorial Team
July 2015

To encourage greater community involvement by REALTORS® and to provide support for community organizations, projects and activities, the Greater Manchester/Nashua County Board of REALTORS® in New Hampshire each year presents the Good Neighbor Award to one of its members.

In 2014, the Good Neighbor Award went to REALTOR® John MacGilvary of Londonderry, New Hampshire. Mr. MacGilvary, a two-time winner of the award, was recognized for his work with The CareGivers Inc., an organization founded to help the elderly and disabled remain in their homes for as long as possible.

The Greater Manchester/Nashua County Board of REALTORS® established the Good Neighbor Award in 2002 to recognize a member who has made an extraordinary commitment to improving the quality of life in the community through volunteerism. The Board makes a $1,000 donation payable to the charity of the award winner’s choice. In the past, the award has recognized member commitment to affordable housing, improvement of local education, community youth activities, child advocacy and support, and other community-based, nonprofit agencies.

The Greater Manchester/Nashua County Board of REALTORS® is made up of local real estate professionals who not only exemplify the highest professional standards in the industry but also in their communities. Many of its members are actively involved in community service projects.
