There are many members of Congress who qualify as a #HomeownerHero. Senator Johnny Isakson (GA) is the only REALTOR® currently serving in the United States Senate. Sen. Isakson has made encouraging homeownership and protecting homeowners’ property rights core tenets of his work in Congress. Senator Edward Brooke (MA) and Senator Walter Mondale (MN) were co-sponsors of the Fair Housing Act. 50 years later, their legacy lives in ensuring all individuals, regardless of race, color, disability, familial status, origin, religion, or gender.
