The National Association of REALTORS®’ Smart Growth Grant offers state and local associations a way to engage with government officials, community partners, and the general public in planning and designing their community’s future.
THEIR STORY
Smart growth is an approach to development that encourages a mix of building types and uses, diverse housing and transportation options, development within existing neighborhoods, and community engagement. Cities like Greenville, Richmond, Scottsdale, and Los Angeles are using these grants to promote homeownership now and into the future.
THEIR IMPACT
Smart Growth Grants allow communities to create and maintain great neighborhoods by creating a range of housing opportunities, making them more walkable, preserving open space and natural beauty, and encouraging community and stakeholder collaboration.
