Take a minute now to thank Congress for passing the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
It’s time to eliminate point-of-sale requirements that increase the cost of buying a home in areas like University Heights, Cleveland Heights, Newburgh Heights, Shaker Heights and others.
Current point-of-sale requirements add fees to a home purchase and often require purchasers to escrow large sums of money. This puts homeownership out of reach for many first-time homebuyers. Non homeowners agree – saving for a down payment is the hardest part of the homebuying process. These point-of-sale requirements make it even harder.
Sign our petition calling on local leaders to remove this barrier to homeownership.
I call on elected officials in the Cleveland area to address the affordability crisis in our community. Elected officials should find alternatives to requiring large escrows as a condition of a sale.
