Time to Give First-Time Homebuyers a Fighting Chance

It’s time to eliminate point-of-sale requirements that increase the cost of buying a home in areas like University Heights, Cleveland Heights, Newburgh Heights, Shaker Heights and others.

Current point-of-sale requirements add fees to a home purchase and often require purchasers to escrow large sums of money. This puts homeownership out of reach for many first-time homebuyers. Non homeowners agree – saving for a down payment is the hardest part of the homebuying process. These point-of-sale requirements make it even harder.
